Job Purpose

To attend to work activities in the shop area, yard and during transportation, Will help with inventory management, movement of material and maintenance of shop, yard and equipment, Will operate equipments as necessary and required.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean machines of shaving and keep floor clean and dry
• Empty garbage cans and vacuum offices
• Wash floors in lunchroom, offices, and bathroom; clean toilet and sink
• Stamp, debur and grind finished parts as necessary and required
• Secure and wrap parts appropriately for shipping and load for delivery
• Sign for incoming goods
• Move material around shop as needed using overhead crane or forklift
• Be responsible to work in a safe manner
• Handle machined parts with appropriate care
• Work with minimal supervision using own initiative
• Tidy and maintain all areas including yard, front office, etc
• Chem.-Plating (Phosphate treatment) of parts
• Report to management any unsafe conditions or actions that may pose danger to worker or property
•  Other related duties as required

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma generally required
• Knowledge of machine shop procedures
• Knowledge of quality and safety programs
• Certifications in equipment operation (forklift, crane, etc)
